Medical Ear Piercing
We are happy to offer this service to our patients.
Our earrings are 24k gold plated stainless steel, titanium, or medical grade plastic. They are designed to avoid metal allergies and are made for those with skin sensitivities. We use a numbing cream and pierce using the Blomdahl piercing system (titanium or medical grade plastic) according to your preference.
We recommend ear piercing occur after 6 months old. Waiting until children are at least 6 months old ensures that they have had many of their vaccines and allows the ear to grow big enough to allow for accurate placing of the earing. We want to make sure that this elective procedure carries as little risk to your child as possible.
We do ear piercing by appointment only and not as an "add-on" to another sick or well visit. This allows enough time to perform the procedure, explain and answer questions about the aftercare, and allows the numbing cream to take effect.
We charge $75-$100 to pierce up to 2 ears for established patients and $100-$125 for new patients. This price includes the piercing studs and varies based on studs chosed
We have the option to special order different studs if requested at least a week in advance.
